Canton famille rose enamel box, Qing dynasty, China, 18th century. A Canton enamel circular box and internal tray. The cover is decorated with European figures in flower-shaped medallion above a wide band of various flowers all in famille rose enamels. The internal tray is decorated with butterflies and peonies also in famille rose. The lower half has a wide continuous band of various scrolling flowers in famille rose. Many early Canton enamel pieces were decorated with European figures.
