Gilt bronze monk, Tibet, 18th century. A gilt bronze portrait figure of a lama, probably Yongs-'dzin Ngag-Dbang Bzang-po of the Kagyu order. The figure is seated in a relaxed pose with his left foot placed above the right. His right hand is placed on his right knee and faces outward with the first and thumb fingers touching. His left hand is placed behind on plinth. The figure wears monastic robes and a coned hat with long side flaps. The plinth is covered with animal skin, the base has a double vajra.
