Soapstone laughing Buddha, Qing dynasty, China, late 17th-18th century. A light yellowish-green soapstone figure of a reclining laughing Buddha holding a rosary in one hand and an embroidered bag in the other. The shaved head has many stained black hair traces. The borders of the robes have incised embroidered patterns.
