Bamboo wrist rest, Qing dynasty, China, 18th century. A long bamboo wrist rest with shallowly carved decoration of a song bird perched on a flowering branch (hibiscus?) with three blossoms, one a bud, and leaves. There is a 12-character inscription in kaishu script.
