Bowl with cursive underglaze iron brown decoration, Chu Dau kiln, Vietnam, 14th century. Sherds of similar bowls have been found in 14th century Japanese sites. The type of cursive decoration seen here is found both with brown underglaze and blue and white and the two glaze types are considered roughly contemporary.
