Maki-e lacquer box of daffodils beside stream decorated in various lacquer techniques, late Edo period, Japan, early 19th century. A small rectangular box decorated on the exterior and interior with clumps of daffodils besides a stream in gold and silver takamakie, togidashi, okibirame and other lacquer techniques. The piece is inscribed 'Tokkosai Yasuji'.
