Famille rose dish with chrysanthenums and insects, Qing dynasty, China, 1730-1750. A large famille rose dish decorated in the centre with a bunch of chrysanthenums in a medallion edged with overglaze blue spear heads. On the broad rim are famille rose floral groups alternating with insects, such as crickets, in gold enamel.
