The Royal Hospital and Ranelagh House, Chelsea, London, c1800. The Royal Hospital, reflected in the River Thames, with Ranelagh House and the Rotunda, right, and boats on the river. The hospital was designed by Christopher Wren and was built between 1682 and 1692 to house war veterans.
