'The Atlas of the Landed Interest', 1784. Thomas Powys, MP for Northamptonshire, carries a large bale representing the interests of the landowners. He is a thin and scrawny version of the Greek mythological figure of Atlas who held up the world. Beneath the image is a satirical poem.
