Two women wearing the latest fashions, 1859. The woman on the left is wearing an off the shoulder dress with a very full skirt that was achieved by wearing lots of petticoats, and a crinoline. The fullness of the skirt is also accentuated by the extremely tight bodice of the dress. The woman on the right is wearing a cloak over her dress which is decorated with lace, ribbon and bows.
