Charlestown, Cornwall. Charlestown was developed in the 18th century as a port to export china clay from the quarries north of the nearby town of St Austell. The harbour is owned by Square Sail, a company which owns a fleet of ten tall ships, which frequently visit Charlestown. It is frequently used in film and television productions requiring recreations of historic ports.
