Lady Wulfrun statue and St Peter's Church, Wolverhampton, West Midlands. The city of Wolverhampton is named after Lady Wulfruna, a Saxon noblewoman, who founded the town in 985. She founded a monastery in 994, the site of which is now occupied by St Peter's Church, which dates from 1425.
