John Hooper Memorial, St Mary's Gate and Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucestershire. John Hooper was Bishop of Gloucester and, later, Worcester in the 1550s. A committed Protestant, he was executed and martyred in 1555 during the reign of Mary I. His views and writings greatly influenced the later Puritans.
