Instructions from King William III to Admiral Arthur Herbert, afterwards Earl of Torrington, for the disposal of the person of the late King James II in case of his capture at sea. Signed at the head and initialled at the foot by William III, with paper seal. In the hand of, and countersigned by, Daniel Finch, Earl of Nottingham, Secretary of State. From the first series of Facsimiles of royal, historical, literary and other autographs in the Department of Manuscripts, British Museum: Series I - V, (London, 1899).
