Letter from Oliver Cromwell to William Lenthall, 14th June 1645. Letter announcing the defeat of the King (Charles I) at Naseby, near Market Harborough, written from Harborough on the day of the battle. The victorious Parliamentary forces were led by Sir Thomas Fairfax, with Cromwell himself commanding the right wing. From the fifth series of Facsimiles of royal, historical, literary and other autographs in the Department of Manuscripts, British Museum: Series I-V. (London, 1899).
