Death of General Felix Zollicoffer, Battle of Mill Springs, Kentucky, 19 January 1862, (1862-1867). The Confederate Brigadier-General Zollicoffer was killed whilst attacking Union positions. The battle ended with a Union victory and a Confederate retreat from eastern Kentucky to Tennessee.
