Rear-Admiral Sir William Nathan Wright Hewett, 1882. Hewett (1834-1888) entered the Royal Navy as a volunteer in 1847. Awarded the Victoria Cross for his exploits at the Battle of Inkerman in 1854, he attained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1884.
