Alfred Ollivant, Bishop of Llandaff, 1878. He became the Bishop of Llandaff in 1849. His long episcopate of thirty-three years was marked by many reforms such as providing additional pastoral superintendence and church accomodation within the diocese. He also had a brilliant academic career. Among many other achievements he was awarded the Senior Chancellor's Medal, in 1821, which was then the highest classical distinction.
