Thomas Webster, painter, 1878. In 1825 Webster exhibited 'Rebels shooting a Prisoner', the first painting of schoolboy life by which he won his reputation. In 1828 he exhibited 'The Gunpowder Plot' at the Royal Academy, and in 1829 'The Prisoner' and 'A Foraging Party aroused' at the British Institution.
