German Ambassador to Vichy France, Otto Abetz, delivering a press conference, 15 December 1940. On the left of the photograph is Fernand de Brinon, a leading French collaborator during the Nazi occupation who was tried as a war criminal by the French after the liberation and executed in 1947.
