Gateway to the Temple of Khonsu, Karnak, Egypt, 20th Century. Khonsu (Chons) was an Ancient Egyptian deity associated with the Moon. The gateway was built by Ptolemy III in the 3rd century BC although the temple itself is older, dating from the New Kingdom (16th-11th century BC).
