Replica canopic chest of gilded wood from the Tomb of Tutankhamun, Egypt. The original chest contained the organs which had been removed during mummification: the lungs, liver, stomach and intestines. They were guarded by four goddesses with outstretched arms. Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in 1922. It contained thousands of objects including many made of gold. Located in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
