Tomb of Seti I, Valley of the Kings, Egypt, 13th century BC. Wall painting in the tomb of the 19th Dynasty Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Seti I who ruled Egypt from c1290 until 1279 BC. He was the father of Rameses the Great. Seti's tomb was discovered in 1817 by the Italian antiquities collector Giovanni Belzoni. Every chamber and passageway was richly decorated with bas reliefs or wall paintings.
