Trajan's Column, Rome, Italy. Trajan's Column was raised by Apollodorus of Damascus at the order of the Senate. It is located in Trajan's Forum, built near the Quirinal Hill, north of the Roman Forum. Completed in 113 AD, the column is carved in low relief with a narrative of the emperor Trajan's two campaigns in Dacia (modern Romania).
