Pergamon Altar, 2nd Century, BC. Opulent structure originally built in the 2nd century BC in the Ancient Greek city of Pergamon. It is decorated with a 113 metre long frieze that depicts the 'gigantomachy', the struggle between the gods and the giants. From the Pergamon Museum, Berlin.
