'Aerial Navigation', c1910. Three early aeroplanes; Henri Farman's (1874-1958) biplane, in which he made his first flight in 1908, the '14 bis' aeroplane in which Alberto Santos Dumont (1873-1932) achieved the first sustained flight in Europe in 1906, and Jacob Ellehammer's biplane in which he made the first European flight of all, also in 1906. One of a series of Liebig beef extract cards. From a private collection.
