Death of Jules Ferry, 1893. Jules François Camille Ferry (1832-1893) was a French statesman. He served as Prime Minister of France on two occasions, from November 1881 to January 1882 and from July 1882 until February 1883. Ferry was a prominent advocate of the policy of French colonial expansion. He was assassinated in March 1893. A print from the Le Petit Journal, 1st April 1893.
