Funeral of Lajos Kossuth, Budapest, 21st March 1894. Lajos 'Louis' Kossuth (1802-1894) was a Hungarian lawyer, politician who became Regent-President of the Kingdom of Hungary in 1849 as it sought to establish its independence from Austria.
