Albrecht von Wallenstein, Bohemian soldier and politician, (1903). Wallenstein (1583-1634) commanded the Catholic imperial armies during the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) until pressure from German princes persuaded the Habsburg emperor Ferdinand II to replace him with Count Tilly in 1630.
