Mary I of Scotland, popularly known as Mary, Queen of Scots, (1794). Mary Tudor (1516-1558) was Queen of England and Queen of Ireland from 1553 until her death. Mary, the fourth and penultimate monarch of the Tudor dynasty, is remembered for her attempt to return England from Protestantism to Roman Catholicism. Engraved for Harrison's edition of Rapin's History of England. Hand-coloured later.
