Royal and Imperial visit to the Crystal Palace, 1850s, (c1888). Queen Victoria and Prince Albert take part in a procession down the nave. The building, designed by Joseph Paxton and inspired by Prince Albert, was constructed in Hyde Park in the centre of London for the Great Exhibition in 1851. It was later moved to Sydenham.
