Miniature Tang style sancai ewer, modern fake, c1920-1950. A miniature ewer of Sassanian type with one studded handle stretching from the shoulder almost to the mouth. There are several ridges to the long neck and several medallions to the body and under the spout which emerges straight up from the shoulder. The whole piece is glazed with green, yellow and brown glaze of rather muddy tone, with no crackles. The clay is very white, the whole piece has been done in a Tang dynasty style and artificially aged.
