Edward, the Black Prince, (1786). Edward, Prince of Wales and Aquitaine and Duke of Cornwall (1330-1376) was the eldest son of King Edward III of England and the father of King Richard II. His successes as a military commander in France during the Hundred Years War gained him great popularity. From his monument in Canterbury Cathedral.
