'Defeat and Death of Dhoondiah at Conaghull', 1800, (early-mid 19th century). Indian military leader Dhondia Wagh (also known as Malik Jahan Khan) was defeated by a British force under the Duke of Wellington at the battle of Konagal or Conaghalli, (present-day Raichur district, Karnataka, India), on 10 September 1800. Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (1769-1852) rides a white horse, while on the gun carriage on the right is the body of Dhondia Wagh.
