Sir Christopher Wren's original model for St Paul's cathedral, London, c1670-1672 (1893). Wren was commissioned to design the replacement for the cathedral destroyed in the Great Fire of London. Construction began in 1677 and was completed on Wren's 76th birthday, 20th October 1708.
