Stoke Poges Church, Buckinghamshire, c1750, (1840). Thomas Gray's 'Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard' is believed to have been written in the churchyard of the St Giles Church in Stoke Poges. Facsimile of some of the descriptive stanzas from the original manuscript of the poem, finished in 1750.
