Mary Astor (1906-1987), Academy Award-winning American actress, 1928. Astor was perhaps most famous for her role as Brigid O'Shaughnessy in The Maltese Falcon (1941), where she starred opposite Humphrey Bogart. She began her long motion picture career as a teenager in silent films of the early 1920s. Number 1 (of 25) in the second set of WD & HO Wills' Cigarette Cards entitled Cinema Stars (1928).
