Sir George Alexander (1858-1918), theatrical actor-manager, 1911-1912. Considered an avant-garde performer, Alexander spent some years in Henry Irving's company. He presented performances of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan (1892) and Pinero's The Second Mrs Tanqueray.
