'May Day (in London)', 1784. Milkmaids with garlands and chimney sweep boys dancing outside a pewterer's and a barber's premises in Milk Street. One garland of plate and greenery is in the charge of two chair men, one of whom is mopping his forehead. The other is on a milkmaid's head.
