View of Kingsland Chapel, Kingsland Road, Hackney, London, c1800. The chapel had belonged to a leper hospital, established here in the 15th century under the auspices of St Bartholomew's Hospital; it was discontinued in the mid 18th century, but the chapel, more usually known as St Bartholomew's Chapel, remained until 1845.
