'The Regent's Hack', 1812. The Prince Regent riding a horse, with the head of Sheridan, along a street which is strewn with large stones on which are heads of members of the opposition. The prince is on his way to visit Lady Hertford. The allusion is to Sheridan's loyalty after the breach with the whigs.
