Leopoldo de' Medici (1617-1675) in his cradle, 1882. Leopoldo de' Medici was an Italian Cardinal, scholar and patron of the arts. He was the brother of Ferdinando II de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany. Original in a collection held by the Pitti Palace. From Florence, by Charles Yriarte, translated by CB Pitman and published by Sampson Low (London, 1882).
