Westminster Abbey and Hospital, London, 1842. William the Conqueror was crowned in Westminster Abbey on Christmas Day 1066, and it has been the setting for every English coronation since, except for those of Edward V and Edward VIII. The present building dates from 1245. Westminster Hospital was founded in 1719. From London as it is by Thomas Shotter Boys.
