The mail Steamer 'Rex', wrecked near Lohme, on the north coast of Rügen, Germany, 3rd March 1900. The Swedish vessel ran aground in fog on 27th February. Five women were drowned trying to escape from the stricken vessel. The wreck later broke in two.
