Magnus Grammar School boarders in their best uniforms, Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire, c1895. Boarders appear to have been first taken alongside day boys in c1820. Boarding ceased in 1932. The small boy, front right is not a boarder, but Cyril Noakes, son of E Spencer Noakes, the headmaster from 1894-1904
