Coliseum, Exposition Park, Los Angeles, California, USA, 1941. Postcard. The stadium is filled with spectators watching a University of Southern California (USC) football game. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum opened in 1923. It twice hosted the Olympics, in 1932 and 1984. As well as College Football games, the stadium was also home for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League (NFL) between 1946 and 1979, and the Los Angeles Raiders from 1982-1994. It was the venue for the Superbowl in 1967 and 1973. A wide range of other sports, music and entertainment events have also been staged at the Coliseum.
