Roman Pools, Miami Beach, Florida, USA, 1941. Postcard. The Roman Pools was an example of the 'bathing casinos' built in Miami Beach in the 1910s and 1920s. It was the brainchild of Carl G Fisher, the land developer most responsible for the growth of Miami Beach as a resort. The complex included a casino, swimming pools and shops.
