Picnic on the beach, Fort Sheridan, Illinois, USA, 1966. Enlisted personnel and their families relaxing on a summer day at the non-commissioned officers' beach and picnic area. Fort Sheridan was a US Army base on the shores of Lake Michigan just north of Chicago. The base closed in 1993.
