View of the end of the north transept of Southwark Cathedral with two women collecting water from a pump in the street. Southwark Cathedral was originally the priory church of St Mary Ovarie. In 1539, at the Reformation, the Priory was supressed and it became the parish church of St Saviour, Southwark. In 1897 St Saviour became Southwark Cathedral.
