House of Blackheads and St Peter's church, Riga, Latvia. One of the architectural treasures of Riga, this building was recently rebuilt in honour of the city's 800th anniversary in 2001. Dating from 1344, it was destroyed in 1941. The building was rented to the Blackheads, a guild of foreign merchants from the 15th century and was purchased by them in 1713. St Peter's Church is regarded as one of the finest Gothic churches in the Baltic states.
